I received a very angry response from a fellow real estate agent from another state who felt I miscommunicated in the blog entry that Exclusive Buyer Agency is representing both the seller and the buyer and therfore is not exclusive. For clarification, representing both the seller and the buyer is DUAL agency, and by it’s very nature is not EXCLUSIVE agency. In our market, the terms Exclusive Buyer Agency Agreement and Exclusive Right to Represent Buyer Agency Agreement are used interchangably. Now, as EXCLUSIVELY a buyers agent, one would never represent sellers. That’s not the relationship I represented in the blog. Let me know what you think!
